I retired from the Federal Aviation Administration in December 2006, closing a 31-year career of air traffic control and ATC-related jobs. Fearing that the sudden removal of an external and imposed schedule will result in losing track of days, then weeks, then months, I started this blog to help me distinguish each day, now no longer segmented by a work schedule.
With any luck I will not begin to forget vast swaths of weeks and months as they roll by.
I live in Florida with my wife Marian and our two cats, Milo and Toby. I’ve had a couple of consulting gigs and now work part-time with new immigrants as they work toward qualifying to enter college but look forward to longer intervals of not working.
I love to read, travel, learn, spend time with my wife. Just what I plan to do for the next quarter-century or so, I hope.
